I graduated from Istinye University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Department of Architecture in 2021. After doing a voluntary internship for 1 year during the distance education period, I work as a Site Architect in the Nef Reserve Gölköy project, where I work in the Design Office after graduation.
It is a great pleasure to be from İstinye...?
My school, which makes education both high quality and fun with the manifesto of being from İstinye, allows strong names in the academic staff to accompany us and I completed my best 4 years without realizing how it went. In addition to the professional experiences of my esteemed professors, who brought different perspectives throughout my education life, making us feel as special individuals, not like an ordinary student, but trying to guide us in the most correct way by saying 'we will be colleagues very soon' in every problem, has turned into a process that I never want to end. The fact that we can continue to see each other frequently even after graduation is the reason to say that we are not alone, which is a good reason to say that we should ask. If I go back to the lessons; school ends somehow, lessons are given in some way. What matters is what and how much we get from our teachers and friends. Speaking of friends, the fact that all the faculties were gathered in one building provided an environment for us to have an incredible environment. We also have a lot to learn and share from our friends in different departments. For this, going to social events, clubs and some excursions will bring serious gains. One of my recommendations to my friends in the future is to participate in Erasmus projects, which is just one of the other opportunities provided by our school, which I could not realize due to the pandemic.
While I have the chance to write all this, I would like to talk about a special name that has always believed in me and supported me. My dear Nedim Erdal Özyurt. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our one and only teacher who had a unique style and never stopped learning and teaching. If I hadn't gone to Istinye University, maybe I wouldn't be who I am today.
Thank you, Istinye Family...
