MY GRADUATION YEAR
2022- PHYSICAL THERAPY AND REHABILITATION
I graduated from the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2022. With the internship opportunities provided by my university, I see different patient groups from all departments from pediatric intensive care to hand surgery in 8 different hospitals and gain experience and receive patients in the clinic in the light of all these experiences.
Advices;
When I took my diploma and looked back at my 4-year university life, I remembered that I left behind different excitements and very good days. Graduating does not mean coming to an end. I still have a TÜBİTAK project that I carry out under the name of Istinye University, and which is a reference for me in my business life. What I am saying is that our university offers us different opportunities to introduce and improve ourselves, and our only responsibility is to use these opportunities.
The best years of university years; new friendships, different environments, volunteering projects… Especially in our first year, we get caught up in these and miss the main courses that form the basis of our education in the upper classes, and after we have trouble. My advice to you is to try to balance your social and academic life, and do not compromise on both. In fact, our university provides this with a course called "İstinye Manifesto" so that you can socialize even more. This is one of my favorite things about being an İstinye.
What should I do?
Never give up on self-confidence, the school is always ready to help you with the projects and subjects you want to do. As I mentioned before, take care to maintain the balance between your social life and your academic life. The lessons you take are the building blocks that make up your professional life, so give them due importance. Follow closely all the innovations related to the department you are reading and keep your information up to date.
What should I do?
No matter what happens, don't be pessimistic, remember that there is nothing you can't achieve when you want to. Do not leave assignments and projects to the last day, you will panic, and you will not be able to reflect your full efficiency. Do not hesitate to ask questions, comment, and criticize about a subject, because by reinforcing it, you can understand it better and keep it in you for a long time.
